Born in Salvador-Bahia, Fernanda Beling is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in Art Direction from EICTV - Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba and holds a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from UFBA - Federal University of Bahia, Brazil. The actress began her career in theater and while still at university, she had her first contact with cinema playing Jessica from the film "A Máquina", by João Falcão. Since then, he works constantly with Audiovisual, having his work already twice awarded in national cinema at festivals in Paraná and São Paulo.
In 2009, Beling began to employ his Set experience in new departments and made his first 1st Direction Assistance, in addition to preparing and integrating the cast of the pilot “Pietra”, by Mariana Serrão. Along this path, he has also been developing works in the Direction, Art and Casting departments, interspersing performances in front of and behind the camera. After working on her 2nd international co-production in 2012, Beling saw the need to literally broaden her horizons, get in touch with new cultures and improve herself in another language, moving to live and study in London. During this period, he also invested in getting to know other 15 cities in other 7 European countries, a phase that he considers very enriching humanly and artistically.
Still within the scope of the search for knowledge and improvements through artistic-cultural exchanges, at the end of 2016, Fernanda spent 2 months of immersion in Cuba, participating in the Advanced Studies in Art Direction training at EICTV, an audiovisual training school that is reference and of great prestige around the world. This experience resulted in the realization of a series of experimental videos within the project "InCUBAndo Novas Ideias e Imagens Plásticas".
Interested in a multidisciplinary artistic dialogue and inspired by her versatility, Fernanda has been expanding her research by progressively flirting with the Visual Arts and Dance as well. From this internal investigation, partnerships with other artists emerged, such as in the project "Mur[r]us", by Marie Thauront; the development of the solo "Ermo", within the project "Mitografia" by Ana Beatriz Almeida - Cia Taanteatro/SP and the creation of the performance "Disorder", in partnership with the artist Marcilia Barros.
Fernanda is now preparing to direct her first short film, which is in the capture stage. At the same time, he is developing two more audio-visual projects, where he will act in one and direct the other.
